Android Smartphones from Verizon in 2009

The Verizon CEO revealed plans for the nation's largest carrier to have an Android powered offering in the near future.  Speaking at an investors conference, it was announced that Google and Verizon had been in discussions for some time.  The new Android powered "devices" will most likely be offered in Q4 of 2009.

 Presently the only Gphones available are from HTC;  however  Verizon wireless CEO McAdam hinted that an Android based Motorola offering may be in the works.  Code named 'Morrison' the Motorola phone is said to include a full QWERTY keypad with touchscreen.  In a leaked Tmobile roadmap Motorola is scheduled to be delivering Android based phones to Tmobile before Christmas of 2009.
